Who we are and what we do

Our aim is to promote the well being of all older people in Berkshire and to help to make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.

We do this through the services and products we provide, and by guiding local opinion and policies on subjects affecting older people.  Our services promote social inclusion and self – reliance, as well as providing practical help and advice.

Based in Huntley House in Reading, our work throughout Berkshire is supported by many local organisations, with whom we work in partnership to provide most of our services.  In addition, a number of private individuals donate money to us, or spend time with us as volunteer workers.  This helps us maintain our independence, and plan new services for older people in the future.

Please take a moment to browse through this web site, and ask yourself these questions:

Do I know an older person who might benefit from help from Age Concern Berkshire?

Do I know someone who might enjoy working with older people as a volunteer?

Would my organisation achieve its aims better in a partnership with Age Concern Berkshire?

If the answer to any of these questions is "yes" - or if you would just like to know more about us -  then we would very much like to hear from you.  Please call us on the number below:
